from the lead. Hunter Lawrence also improved on his A1 result and rounded out the top five in San Diego. A tough night for Chase Sexton saw him fall on the opening lap, which forced him back to dead last. Sexton charged for the full 20 minutes and salvaged sixth at the line. He's now second in points, one marker back from Tomac. "On the first lap, I almost got landed on, and then in [about] the next turn, I fell over," Sexton said. "It was just me not being ready to go at the gate drop, honestly. That kind of lit a fire under me, and after that, I feel like I rode the best that I've ridden in a long time. Some night's aren't your night." Malcolm Stewart, Justin Barcia, Dylan Ferran - dis and Joey Savatgy rounded out the top 10.
