Despite the close call late in the race and the consistent pressure from Lawrence, Tomac never cracked. The veteran main- tained control of the lead and held the top spot through to the checkered flag, marking his first main-event win in nearly a year and the 53rd of his career. With the win he also takes over the points lead. He's one point clear of A1 winner Chase Sexton. "This was a huge deal for me," Tomac said.
