the Michelin Daytona tire test, where Freddie Spencer impressed
on his new Ducati... The battle between competing road racing
championships, Roger Edmondson's North American Superbike
Series (NASB) and the AMA Superbike Championship, had o"cially
begun when Edmondson announced its preliminary schedule for 1985...
The Yamaha YZ250 won our 1985 250cc motocross shootout... Alan
Cathcart rode the Harley-Davidson VR1000 factory road racer.
James Stewart was featured on the cover of Cycle News 20
years ago. We interviewed the factory Kawasaki rookie who
was about to make his 250cc Supercross Series debut at the
upcoming Anaheim 1 Supercross... We tested the new HR3
"V," Kawasaki ZX-6R and Honda CR250R...The Michael
Jordan Motorsports Suzuki Team made its debut at the
Daytona tire test with riders Jason Pridmore, Steve Rapp and
Montez Stewart.
