Danilo Petrucci, has swapped
two wheels for four and is racing
in the truck category for the MM
Technology team. The current
WorldSBK rider was sitting
pretty in sixth overall after Stage
One, but major dramas with
punctures, broken suspension
and the truck's pressurized air
system dropped him to 12th.
"As always, the Dakar is a life
lesson," Petrucci said philosophi
-
cally. "You lose the way, and
you don't
know where you came
from and where you have to go,
or you break something, and you
think everything is lost. But, as in
life, when you are desperate, the
only thing you want to do is go
ahead. A problem can become
an opportunity. The opportunity
to always go ahead."
