Our feature story 50 years ago was a roundtable with some of the top
European motocross stars, such as Roger DeCoster, Gerrit Wolsink
and Ake Jonsson. We got their thoughts on how motocross races were
being run in America versus Europe... We had coverage of the El Trial de
Espana in Lake Elsinore, California, where Lane Leavitt took the win...
We discussed the future of desert racing in California as prime racing
land was getting eaten up by urban sprawl... Photograper Charles
Morey wrote about how to take great motocross photos.

National Motocross, held at Sunrise Cycle Park in California... We
tested the 1985 KTM 250MX... The CMC Four-Stroke MX National
was held at Carlsbad Raceway, where local Ron Lechien piloted a
one-o' Honda XR600 to victory... Larry Roeseler won the Tecate
250 Enduro.
