Thirty years ago, Cycle News' Associate Editor Kit Palmer, and now
current Editor, tested the 1995 KTM 250 SX, which was caught in
action at Rainbow MX in California and featured on the cover along
with an inset of the Saxon Triumph 900... Jeremy McGrath wrapped
up the World Supercross title... We covered the Indoor Trials World
Championship in Spain, which was won by Spain's own six-time World
Trials Champion Jordi Tarres... We featured Jay Springsteen in our
"Time Remembered" piece.
It was 20 years ago when the first EnduroCross race ran its
course and Cycle News was there at The Orleans Arena in Las
Vegas. Ryan Hughes was the series' first winner, and a photo
of the Honda rider was featured on the cover. David Knight
finished second and Mika Ahola third... Ty Davis finished oš
the WORCS series with a win in Idaho... We covered the Lake
Elsinore Grand Prix, where Bobby Bonds took the big win in
the Harvey Mushman 100.
