to EWC With
YART
L
ong-time British Superbike
Championship rider Jason
O'Halloran will make his debut in
the Endurance World Champion
-
ship in 2025 as part of the YART
Yamaha EWC Official Team.
Replacing the retiring Niccolo
Canepa, who retired at the end of
the 2024 season to become Ya
-
maha Motor Europe's Road Rac-
ing Sporting Manager, O'Halloran
will compete alongside team
riders Karel Hanika, Marvin Fritz
and reserve rider Robin Mul
-
hauser.
The 36-year-old O'Halloran
continues the YART team's long
association with Australian rid
-
ers, which has seen Damian Cud-
lin, Steve Martin, Josh Brookes,
Broc Parkes, Wayne Maxwell,
and Rick Olson all race for them
in the past.
"I had a lot of success in BSB
with Yamaha, so I am excited to
get back onto the R1," O'Halloran
said. "It has always been the bike
I gelled with the best; it suits my
riding style, and I love riding it. I
had a taste of riding in the EWC
in the past, and it has always
been a championship I wanted to
race in. With Niccolo retiring, the
timing was perfect."

Stoner Rides Again
M
uch has happened between
Casey Stoner and Valentino
Rossi, with some of the greatest
on-track battles ever seen in Mo-
toGP and plenty of barbs thrown
between the two off the track.
Following Stoner's shock
retirement from the sport in
2012, a lot of water has passed
under the bridge, so much so
that Rossi invited his one-time
archrival to the famous VR46
Ranch in Tavullia in Italy to
sample what is probably the
most famous private dirt track
circuit in the world.
Accompanied by many of the
VR46 Academy riders—including
Luca Marini, Marco Bezzecchi
and Andrea Migno—Stoner took
part in several races on a Beta
two-stroke after using the same
machine to compete at the
Champion's Charity event at the
EICMA Show in Milan.
