K awasaki has taken the wraps off its revised Z900 ABS in two models—the base bike and the uprated Z900 ABS SE with Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes. The rumor that the 948cc motor would be punched out to 1000cc for 2025 did not come to fruition, so the 948cc inline-four gets refined cam profiles to boost low-end torque and improve fuel efficiency. U.S. models will produce up to a claimed 123 horsepower at 9500 rpm and 73.1 lb-ft of torque at 7700 rpm. A new throttle and up - dated ECU settings aim to provide smoother, more linear acceleration, achieving a claimed 16 percent in - crease in fuel efficiency and an 11.3 percent reduction in CO₂ emissions. The electronics suite gets up - dated with a six-axis IMU, so you'll have lean-sensitive traction control and ABS. Inside are three preset ride modes—Sport, Road, and Rain—plus a customizable mode, which will let you alter power delivery, traction control, and ABS settings as you see fit. The 900 also has a quickshifter for clutchless up and down shifts, and it now comes with a new cruise control system. The front lighting system now features a more compact, triple LED design, with two upper lights for low beams and a single lower light for high beams. The rear lighting also utilizes LEDs, employing a light- guiding method that provides uni - form illumination across the taillight through a curved tube structure. A new five-inch TFT color display acts as mission control and offers two display modes: a bar-style ta - chometer or a hexagonal tach with a lean-angle indicator. For the first time on a Kawasaki, the screen supports turn-by-turn navigation through the Rideology app, allowing voice commands to adjust settings hands-free. The Z900's steel trellis frame has been stiffened for improved rigidity, and the seat height remains at 31.9 inches despite a thicker cushion. Suspension improvements include a 41mm inverted fork and a hori - zontal back-link shock on the base model, while the SE model adds an Ohlins rear shock and Brembo brakes. Both models are equipped with Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tires. The 2025 Kawasaki Z900 ABS and Z900 SE ABS will arrive in U.S. dealerships in Winter 2025. The base model prices begin at $9,999 for the Metallic Spark Black/Me - tallic Carbon Black/Ebony color scheme and $10,299 for the Galaxy Silver/Metallic Spark Black/Phan- tom Blue variant. The Z900 SE ABS is priced at $11,848 and is available in Metallic Matte Graphite Gray/Ebony/Metallic Graphite Gray. CN VOLUME ISSUE NOVEMBER , P63
