SEPANG INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT, MALAYSIA
ROAD RACE I FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
P70
20 FABIO QUARTARARO
5TH/6TH MOTOGP
Fabio Quartararo and Yamaha had
a positive weekend despite a fall
during the opening lap of the GP. "I
have no idea what happened during
the opening-lap accident. I had a big
touch with Brad Binder or Jack Miller,"
he said. "Then I was flying, and after
that I don't really remember what hap-

but I don't think it was a mistake. On
a slow corner and change of direc-
tion, it's easy to touch. Those things
can happen. For the restart, I had to
take my second bike, and we didn't
have any more tires, so I started with
tires from yesterday from qualifying
that I didn't really like. Unfortunately,
I couldn't catch the riders ahead of
me. But I think this was a positive
race weekend for us overall. We have
done a great qualifying, great Sprint,
and great race. I think we are heading
in the right direction."
72 ALEX RINS
11TH/8TH MOTOGP
Alex Rins made it two Yamahas in
the top 10 of the GP. "It was a good
race," he said of the GP. "We're do-
ing better. Within our possibilities,

the Sprint race,
sealing a crucial
win and putting

the title.
Alex Marquez tagged
Brad Binder (33) at the start
of the Sunday GP, who then
clattered into Fabio Quartararo,
who then smashed into Jack
Miller. It looked nasty indeed
but thankfully all riders
walked away.
