ROUND 18 / OCTOBER 25-27, 2024 CHANG INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT / BURIRAM, THAILAND ROAD RACE I FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P68 23 ENEA BASTIANINI 1ST/14TH MOTOGP "We were in the position to do well, unfortunately, I was pushed wide at turn one and lost a lot of ground on the straight—plus the visibility was very low in the early stages," Bas- tianini said. "Then, lap after lap, I managed to find the right feeling and made up some places, but I was very at the limit and ended up tucking the front at turn eight. It's a pity, I didn't expect that to happen. Luckily, I was able to re-join and score a couple of points." 89 JORGE MARTIN 2ND/2ND MOTOGP "I felt really good in the warmup and was ready for the race," Martin said. "I got off to a really good start, but at some point, I felt the front of my bike closing up. I managed to save it, although I lost two positions. After that, I did my best to maintain the gap with the riders behind, taking many risks. I'm happy with this second place, even if I lost five points in the championship, but I'm already the best independent rider, for the second year in a row." MYOWNRACE Enea Bastianini (23) was sublime on Saturday, taking his second Sprint win of the year. Jorge Martin (89) got the launch of the season off the start to lead into turn one on Sunday.
