eta said it listened to off-
roaders around the country
asking for an off-road ver
-
sion of the Italian company's 450
RX motocrosser. The new Beta
450 RC is what it calls a do-all
four-stroke model.
"The electric start and five-
speed engine provide the power
delivery perfect for all-around
use, designed for riders who
race in the woods on the week
-
ends and hit the moto track dur-
ing the week," says Beta.
Based on the 450 RX plat-
form, the RC is equipped with an
18-inch rear wheel, a larger fuel
tank, handguards, Race model
tank panels, a formed plastic
skid plate, and an O-ring chain.
Highlights carried over from
the RX model include a chrome-
moly steel frame, Nissin brakes,
a fully adjustable KYB AOS
48mm closed-cartridge fork and
a fully adjustable KYB 50mm
shock, a two-position ignition
map switch and a hydraulically
operated diaphragm clutch.
The Beta 450 RC will be avail

able in December with a $10,999
MSRP.
