the podium. On lap 11, a colli-
sion between Leopard Racing
teammates Angel Piqueras and
Adrian Fernandez disrupted the
lead group and sent both tum-
bling out of the race.
The final lap saw more high
drama, with Alonso overtaking
Ivan Ortola (MT Helmets – MSI)
at turn four, but Ortola outbraked
himself at the final corner and
ran wide, allowing Lunetta and
Veijer through to the podium.
In a nail-biting finish, Furusato
crashed just before the line after
contact with Veijer, the Japa-
nese crossing the finish line on
his butt with his bike cartwheel-
ing into the pit wall. He was still
