Lewis Wins Fallen Timbers, Flynn Clinches AMA EHE Championship P ennsylvanian Danny Lewis won the Fallen Timbers Hard Enduro in Little Hocking, Ohio, on October 27, while James Flynn of Morristown, Arizona, clinched the 2024 AMA East Hard Enduro Series Championship, presented by IRC Tire. The race format was a four- hour, five-lap race with splits around the Wildwood Lake Race - way. This property has a variety of terrain, consisting of caves, creek beds, big rock gardens and hills that add up to over 2000 feet of elevation gain. There was a record turnout for this event, as 146 racers made up all 12 of the USHE classes. The past few events here have had very muddy conditions, as the Wildwood Lake Raceway is known to have the worst mud on the East Coast, but the condi - tions were dry this year and was a nice change for the racers. Starting off in rows of 10, the Pros started battling it out right off the bat. Quinn Wentzel, James Flynn, Nick Fahringer and Danny Lewis were all fighting for the lead on the first lap. Flynn and Wentzel then pulled away from the pack, swapping the lead multiple times. Fahringer and Lewis were battling for the final podium spot, only a few minutes behind the leaders, until the end of the third lap when Lewis put on a charge for the front. Lewis took over the lead, which was up to four minutes at one point, and didn't look back. Flynn pulled ahead of Wentzel and had a few- minutes of a gap in the second position, and Wentzel held his ground in third place at the end of the four-hour race. This was Lewis' first USHE race win, and was a monumental victory for him, as he missed most of the season due to health reasons. Flynn, earning a second place on the day, clinched his spot as the 2024 AMA East Hard En - duro Series, presented by IRC Tire, Champion, his first USHE Regional Championship. Flynn actually raced the EnduroCross race in Idaho on Friday night, flew to Ohio on Saturday, and raced the Fallen Timbers Hard Enduro on Sunday. Flynn didn't miss a USHE race all season, and his Championship was hard-earned and well-deserved. The Fallen Timbers Hard Enduro was the final USHE race of the 2024 season, and the 2025 season is right around the corner. The full USHE schedule is nearing completion and will be released shortly.
