Lynn Wins Battle On The Beach

ake Havasu City and the
Crazy Horse Campground
hosted the final round of the
2024 Rocky Mountain ATV/
MC WORCS Series, where Tyler
Lynn got back to speed and took
top honors in the "Battle on the
Beach."
However, with both the Pro
450 and Pro-Am Champion
-
ships locked in at the previous
round in Mesquite, all that was
left to be decided for the Pros
was the 250 Championship, and
what a show they put on. Lead
changes all race long kept the
fans cheering while on the edge
of their beach chairs. Mason
Semmens ended up celebrating
back-to-back victories in the Pro
250 class to snag the number-
one plate for the year. But it was
oh-so-close.

On Sunday, the Pros lined up
for an 11:20 a.m. start as they
set out on a two-hour-long battle
on one of the roughest Havasu
tracks ever. Square edges and
rocks spread across a shorter
course made it nearly impos
-
sible to rest.
Lynn dominated all the Pro
450s. He led from start to finish
while steadily stretching out his
lead on his SLR Honda. By the
end of the race, his advantage
had extended to just under two
and a half minutes.
Jack Simpson tied his career-
best with second aboard his
Purvines Racing 450 after
battling with recently crowned
Pro 450 champ Dare DeMartile
(Beta) early in the race. DeMar
-
tile was running in second and
creeping up to Lynn before a
mechanical issue cut his day
short.

dium with third. Thomas Dunn
(KTM) was fourth.
