Finally, there was a truly dry
track for a whole session of
WorldSBK, which also happened
to be the first race.
Some ambitious riders were
out to beat Razgatlioglu early
on, notably lap-one leader and
eventual faller Petrucci. Then it
was three-lap leader Andrea Lo

catelli (Pata Yamaha Prometeon
WorldSBK Team). When Toprak
hit the front on lap five, he took
off in his assured, all-action way.
Razgatlioglu used the SCO
rear tire, when every other rider
had opted for softer, stickier
tires of some kind, but he still
managed to break the field and
run his own race, having even
more tires left at the end than
many others.
Bulega had an incident-filled
race again, being run off-track in
a tussle with Rea, but he recov
-
ered and regrouped, passing
