fourth.
Carrasco has an 18-point lead

Ana Carrasco's Superpole
lap time was 0.359 of a second
up on any other, but naturally,
it was her main championship
rival, Maria Herrera, who lined
up beside her.
Before race one there was
high drama, as Herrera was
pushed off the starting grid be
-
fore the warm-up lap, to line up
at the
back, literally behind every
other rider.
She got going at an amazing
pace and was battling behind
the absolute top riders after just
one lap.
Close fights peppered the lead
-
ing bunch, but a red flag ended
the proceedings,
with Carrasco
ahead at the crucial time.
Herrera was an astounding
second after her lowly start;
Beatriz Neila was third, with
early race leader Tayla Relph a
strong fifth.
Herrera was actually leading
when the flag came out, but on
(Above) Stefano Manzi finished off the weekend with a win in
WorldSSP. It was his third win of the year. (Right) Sara Sanchez
scored her first victory in the WorldWCR Championship.
