Mesa Wins Barber Pro Challenge Race

victory in the 2024 Barber
Vintage Festival's Pro Challenge
race at Barber Motorsports Park
at the weekend.
The Barber Pro Challenge
Race regulations were changed
for 2024, moving from only
big twin-cylinder machines to
include MotoAmerica Supers

port race bikes, with a number
of current MotoAmerica stars in
attendance.
Mesa, riding his Boulder
Motorsports Pierobon X80R fit

ted with a Ducati 1198cc V-twin
Superbike engine, was the class
of the field by taking the win 5.7
seconds ahead of MotoAmerica
regulars Hayden Gillim (Vesrah
Suzuki GSX-R750) and Tyler
Scott (Vision Wheel Ecstar M4
Suzuki).
Behind Scott, four-time Day

tona 200 Champion Danny Eslick
made a racing return, leading the
race early on the TOBC Racing
Triumph Street Triple 765 RS
before dropping back to fourth
at the flag.
Eslick bested MotoAmerica
Twins Cup star Gus Rodio
(Ducati Panigale V2) with Kyle
Ohnsorg on the second Vision
Wheel Suzuki rounding out the
top six.
The win netted Mesa a handy
$10,000, with Gillim collecting
$6000 and Scott taking home
$4000 prize money.
