back with a win on stage five and ended the rally second overall. Schareina's result helped give Honda the W2RC Manufacturer's Championship. "We made a few mistakes in this rally, but the end result was good; the bike and the team were great throughout this event, and I'm so proud of them," Schareina said. Luciano Benavides took third overall at the Rallye du Maroc. The reigning W2RC champion landed on the overall podium in his first race back with the KTM squad. Ross Branch played the long game in Morocco. He came into the race battling Honda's Ricky Brabec for the W2RC title, but things turned in Branch's favor once Brabec bowed out after a knee injury in the dunes on stage one. From there, it was smooth sailing for Branch. The Hero Motorsports rider only needed to finish the rally to clinch the championship. Their entire team shifted the focus to protect - ing Branch throughout the race should he encounter any issues. After winning stage one, Branch did not finish on the podium the rest of the week and rode to a sixth-place result at the finish line, 45 minutes behind Sanders' winning time. He still clinched the W2RC championship, the first for himself and the Hero team. "No words can capture the magnitude of this incredible moment," said Branch. "I am thrilled to see the entire team's hard work come together, and witnessing everyone's happi - ness is a success in itself. I feel fortunate to be part of such a passionate family!"
