re you looking for a reasonably priced dual sport motor-
cycle with good off-road performance? The SWM RS300R
might be just what you are looking for. With an MSRP of
$7999, it is approximately $3500—$4000 less than higher-end
350cc dual sports from KTM, Husqvarna or Beta. While the SWM
will not win head-to-head comparisons against any of those bikes
in terms of performance, it may be good enough and worth the
lower price tag. On the other end of the price range, you can buy
a Honda CRF300L or Kawasaki KLX300 for around $4500. While
this is not a head-to-head test, we have experience with those
bikes and will try to answer whether the SWM is worth the extra
$3500 compared to those Japanese dual sport models.
