ROCZEN DOUBLE
TOP 10
Ken Roczen showed plenty of speed
on the day but struggled to keep the
pace for all 30 minutes in each moto.
Roczen, who won the MXGP overall
last year in France, went 10-10 on
the day and helped guide Team
Germany to sixth overall.
TOUGH DAY
FOR VIALLE
It was a disappointing day for the
French Team's Tom Vialle, who
topped the previous day's MX2
qualifier and was the second-best
rider in this year's AMA 250MX
National Championship. A poor start
and a couple of issues relegated
him to 22nd in the first moto and he
was 12th in the second moto, sig-
nificantly hurting the French team's
chances of taking back-to-back
MXoN wins. Instead, the French
team, with riders Vialle, Romain Fe-
bvre and Maxime Renaux, finished
fifth overall. "A tough weekend with
the rain," Vialle said. "I had to stop
both [motos] to change the goggles,
which cost us time and positions."
PROUD WEBB
Cooper Webb praised the U.S.
team's effort after the race, saying,
"Damn proud of Eli, AP and our en-
tire team for rallying together at the
last minute. We knew it was going
to be a challenge, but not fielding
a team should never be an option.
I had four days on the 250 and
felt like I got better every time out.
There's truly no other race in the
world like the Motocross of Nations."
