A Miserably Awesome Day
In 1987, the U.S. hosted the Motocross of
Nations for the first time. However, wet
weather rained on our parade at Unadilla
but did not dampen the enthusiasm of the
American fans and riders. Despite conditions
that seemed better suited for the Europeans,
the trio of Rick Johnson, Jeff Ward and
Bob Hannah (pictured on his Suzuki RM125)
emerged victorious. The MXoN returns to the
States next year at Ironman Raceway.
