The tightest title fight of the
season boiled down to the final
King Of The Baggers race as
Troy Herfoss (S&S/Indian Mo-
torcycle) and former champion
Kyle
Wyman (Harley-Davidson
Factory Racing) squared off in
New Jersey.
Only two points separated
leader Wyman from Herfoss, but
it would be departing champion
Hayden Gillim (RevZilla/ Motul/
Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson)
who would draw first blood
class for Stock 1000 machines
in the premier Superbike class)
Ashton Yates (Jones Honda).
The margin was still minuscule,
just 0.049 of a second separat-
ing Gillim and Yates. Uribe was
third, 3.4
seconds back, with
Smith and Richard Kerr (AMD
Motorsport RK Racing Honda)
rounding out the top 10.
The title is Gillim's once
again, his third AMA title in the
last two seasons to go with his
2023 King Of The Baggers win.
STOCK 1000
Two races for Stock 1000 this
weekend saw a double cham-
pion crowned in Hayden Gillim
(Real Steel Motorsports
Honda)
bettering chief title rival Jayson
Uribe (OrangeCat BMW) by a
mere 0.026 of a second to take
the win and the title in race one.
Benjamin Smith (Flo4Law
Yamaha) held off Danilo Lewis
(Team Brazil BMW) and Nolan
Lampkin (Visit Indiana/ Tom
Wood Powersports BMW) to
claim third.
Race two was another tight
tussle at the top, but again it
was Gillim who triumphed, this
time over 2024 MotoAmerica
