Alvaro was 3.366 seconds clear of Toprak at the end, af- ter a true race of champions. In the championship points, Razgatlioglu is now 39 points ahead of Bulega. Razgatlioglu has 414 points, Bulega 375 and Bautista 333. The next round takes place at Estoril in Portugal, October 11-13. Then the final round occurs at Jerez one week later. WorldSSP The Supersport Champi - onship battle was almost certainly decided by Barni Spark Ducati rider Yari Montella's WorldSSP crash at Cremona a few days before the riders moved on to Aragon, but things got a little more tense, at least for Adrian Huertas (Aruba.it Ducati) after his home round. The first race at Motorland went to Huertas, who had been fastest in Superpole qualifying. His pre- race 1'52.932 was not a new track best for this class, which initially sounds bizarre given that the resurfaced track is so grippy. Huertas led every single lap of race one across the stripe. He was not even joined on the race- one podium by his season-long rival Montella, as the other top Ducati rider was fourth behind the two Yamahas of Stefano Manzi and Valentine Debise. Fifth was local rider Jorge Na - varro, on another Ducati. The first race, which lasted 15 laps, saw Manzi set a new lap record of 1'52.797 on lap eight. That was not quite a new track best, but it was a new lap record all the same. Lucas Mahias (GMT94 Ya - maha) was sixth, with the top Kawasaki of any race this weekend belonging to Can Oncu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) in seventh. Kawasaki will have a 636cc model to race next year. Sunday's race two was also the last of the weekend for any class at Motorland, and it was still warm enough to see track temps climb to over 100 de - grees, a few degrees more than Saturday's race. This time Montella chipped away at Huertas' impressive points lead, winning from Manzi, a truly determined Navarro and Debise. Huertas, seemingly with - out his best pace and getting dragged into too many situa- tions, was finally fifth, although only 2.798 seconds behind the race winner Montella. Tom Booth Amos (PTR Tri - umph) had another good run af- ter his Cremona podium, only just four seconds behind the leader and 1.289 seconds from Huertas. In the championship points, Huertas has 370, Montella 329, Manzi on 324 and the continually impressive Debise on 202. Gordon Ritchie SBK RACE 1 1. Andrea Iannone (Duc) 2. Toprak Razgatlioglu (BMW) 3.
