ROUND 3 / SEPTEMBER 21, 2024
THE STRIP AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY / LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
P72
MANUFACTURER
POINTS
The Manufacturer Points also
ended this weekend, based
on the finishing position of the
highest-ranked riders on each
brand. Honda claimed the overall
win with their riders collectively
earning the most points. The Red
Riders beat Yamaha by just three
points, while KTM finished in
third place.
SEXTON OUT
OF MXON?
Chase Sexton's crash adds
another layer of drama to the
upcoming Motocross of Nations,
which is set to take place October
4-6. Cooper Webb has already
stepped up to fill the position for
the injured Chance Hymas in the
MX2 division, and now questions
loom about whether Sexton's
hand will be okay to race. Could
Eli Tomac take his spot after
three strong performances in the
SMX Playoffs?
250 ALL-STARS
The 250 World All-Stars took
to the track at the series finale
just before the night show. Star
Racing Yamaha's Cole Davies
topped the qualifying charts and
got out front early in the All-Star
main event. His main competi-
tion, Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Drew
Adams, suffered a so-so start
and was forced to climb through
the field. Davies, who won the
Supercross Futures Champion-
ship earlier in the year, rode a
smooth race and claimed the
eventual win over Avery Long
and Alexander Fedortsov.
