A
s the penultimate round of
the 2024 Steel Commander
MotoAmerica Superbike
Championship descended on the
expansive Circuit of The Americas
in Austin, Texas, all eyes were on
Josh Herrin (Warhorse HSBK Rac
-
ing Ducati), who was attempting
to end the longest streak in AMA
Superbike history between a first
and second championship win.
Herrin last won the Superbike
title in 2013 on the factory Ya
-
maha and in Texas he unveiled a
beautiful Troy Corser-replica paint
scheme in honor of the Australian
and Eraldo Ferracci, the patron of
Herrin's Warhorse team and the
man who guided Corser to that
1994 title, the last for Ducati in
America to this date.
JOSH HERRIN MAY HAVE HAD EYES ON THE PRIZE IN
TEXAS, BUT A DETERMINED CAMERON BEAUBIER FORCED
THE TITLE TO THE FINAL ROUND WITH TWO WINS OUT OF
THREE IN TEXAS, AND SEAN DYLAN KELLY GRABBING A
FIRST MOTOAMERICA SUPERBIKE WIN.
Cameron Beaubier (6) fought for every
inch of his two wins at COTA to force
the Superbike title to the final round in
