Doing It At DuQuoin
Steve Morehead (42) leads the way
during a heat race at the DuQuoin Mile
in 1996. The race followed the Indy Mile
held just less than 24 hours earlier. The
DuQuoin race was originally scheduled
to run in July, but rain postponed it
to August. Kevin Atherton went on
to win the DuQuoin race.
