Ryde, Irwin Share BSB Oulton Park Wins K yle Ryde (OMG Grilla Yamaha Racing) was the big victor in round nine of the 2024 British Superbike Championship at Oul- ton Park, taking two wins from three starts to close to within six points of title leader Tommy Bridewell (Honda Racing UK). In race one, Josh Brookes (FHO BMW) initially led, but he was overtaken by Glenn Irwin (Hager PBM Ducati) on lap three. Ryde, Brookes and Charlie Nes - bitt (MasterMac Honda) formed a close lead group until Nesbitt crashed on lap five. Ryde faced a brief setback when his dash cover came loose, but he quickly recovered and, along with Lee Jackson (Mas - terMac Honda), caught up to Irwin and Brookes. Ryde passed Brookes on lap 15 and then overtook Irwin to claim victory. Jackson finished third, pushing Brookes to fourth. Race two ran in sodden condi - tions and saw Irwin return to the winner's circle after putting a hard pass on Haslam on the final lap, which caused the former WorldSBK winner to run off the track. He would eventually sur - vive for third place, letting Danny Kent (McCams Yamaha) through for second. Ryde made amends in race three. Again, run in wet conditions, the Yamaha man triumphed with a 5.9-second advantage over Bridewell with Storm Stacey (LKQ Euro Car Parts Kawasaki) taking third. The title race has Bridewell on 334 to Ryde's 328 and Irwin third on 289. CN SBK Race One 1. Kyle Ryde (Yam) 2. Glenn Irwin (Duc) 3. Lee Jackson (Hon) SBK Race Two 1. Glenn Irwin (Duc) 2.
