Angel Piqueras (Leopard Honda) scored an incredible maiden Moto3 victory at Mi- sano, recovering from a double long-lap penalty to mug a top three, consisting of David Alonso (Aspar CFMoto), Dani Holgado (Tech3 GasGas) and Ivan Ortola (MSI KTM) on the final lap. Even two long-lap penalties couldn't prevent Angel Piqueras from nabbing his maiden Moto3 victory.
