Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac
Ducati) was the beneficiary, tak-

behind Marquez and a handy
23-point title lead.
It was the same for rookie

ROUND 12 / AUGUST 30-SEPTEMBER 1, 2024
ARAGON / ALCANIZ, SPAIN
ROAD RACE I FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
P84
1 FRANCESCO BAGNAIA
9/DNF MOTOGP
"I took advantage of Alex going wide
to get ahead of him and also dove
into the next corner with a slightly
wider line knowing there was another
rider; therefore, it's a shame that it
ended up this way, as it had already
been a difficult weekend," Bagnaia
said. "After another complicated
start—due to the tricky conditions of
that spot on the grid—I was putting
together a good comeback, and I was
a lot quicker. Right now, I'm quite in
pain, especially in my left shoulder,
but it looks like there's nothing bro-
ken. We'll do our best to be as fit as
possible at Misano."
88 MIGUEL OLIVEIRA
5TH/DNF MOTOGP
"I'm physically okay but, obviously,
disappointed," Oliveira said. "We
had the chance to score good points
today and I can't really understand
our real potential by just doing one
lap. For sure, it's frustrating not being
able to at least do a bit more racing to
see where we were. I knew I had to
push from the beginning to stay with
the front group and I did exactly that
MYOWNRACE
Jorge Martin had a perfectly
lonely weekend with two
distant second places,
untroubled by anyone in third
and unable to do anything
about Marquez. He walked
away with a very handy
23-point title lead.
Marc Marquez's Sprint race win was
dominant. No one got near him.
