It was a bad day for the cham-
pionship front-runners. Sergio
Garcia
(MSI Boscoscuro) plum-
meted from sixth to 14th in the
race's
second half, a relief for
Joe Roberts (ART Kalex), who
fought through from 15th to ninth.
Fermin Aldeguer (Speed Up Bos-
coscuro) was a desperate 20th.
It means
Garcia (162 points)
increased his advantage over
Ogura (142) to 20 points, with
Roberts (130) closer in third. Lo-
pez (120), Aldeguer (112), Vietti
(96)
and Dixon (94) are still in
the hunt.

phy now? David Alonso (Aspar
Sensing his opportunity,
Vietti
made light work of Aron Canet
(Fantic Kalex) on the second lap
to assume a control he wouldn't
relinquish to the flag. Second
was where the fight was, as
Alonso Lopez (Speed Up Bos-
coscuro) passed Canet on lap
three
but could not shake off his
compatriot. Jake Dixon (Aspar
Kalex) joined the party with
three laps to go.
The last lap brought drama as
the Englishman passed Canet at
turn one for third, only to touch
the green on corner exit. A one-
place penalty was incoming. Yet
Canet inexplicably exceeded track
limits at the final turn, meaning
Dixon didn't have to drop a place.
back on top of the standings. But
it's close. Martin (270) is just five
points back.
MOTO2
He may have lost a seat in the
Ajo squad for 2024. Yet Celes-
tino Vietti (Ajo Kalex) produced
his
performance of the season
to win at the team's home and
catapult his name back into the
title race.
Polesitter Vietti was the
prerace favorite only because Ai
Ogura (MSI Boscoscuro), who
dominated Friday's running,
broke three bones in his right
hand in a Saturday morning high
-
side, ruling him out for the rest
of
the weekend.
