a double, taking the first race
victory by a relatively command-
ing (by class standards) 3.4
seconds over
Jayden Fernandez
(Fernandez Racing Kawasaki),
who in turn was eight seconds
up on Chapin's teammate Eli
Block.
Race two was a much tighter
affair, but it was still the same
winner in Chapin, this time the
margin of victory was 0.075 of
a second over Yandel Medina
(New York Safety Track Rac
-
ing Kawasaki) and Ryan Wolfe
(Wolfe
Racing Kawasaki) in a
red-flagged race due to the arriv-
ing rain and subsequent crashes
down
the field.
The result sees Chapin sitting
pretty in the title race on 200
from Medina's 138 and Logan
Cunnison's 119.
CN
a monster highside for current
class number one Hayden Gillim
(RevZilla/ Motul/ Vance & Hines
Harley-Davidson), his second
crash in as many races following
his off in the second Superbike
race, brought out the red flag.
With three-quarters of the
race distance run, the result
was called, thwarting Herfoss'
chance at another win. Wyman
thus clawed an extra five points
back to lead the title by 14 points
heading to COTA with Landers
once again taking third.
In the title race, Wyman leads
Herfoss, with Gillim third, 93 points
in arrears. There's two rounds and
100 points still to play for.
