er Lawrence. Sexton had his work
cut out for him in both motos with
Lawrence up front during each
gate drop. After tipping over his
KTM in the final few laps of the
first moto, Sexton rebounded with
a strong pace to start moto two.
That is before another front-end

450MX
Chase Sexton is oh so close.
The 450MX points leader came
into Budds Creek on a high after
putting on a clinic a week ago at
round nine in Unadilla. This week
he held a mathematical chance
at wrapping up the title a week
early should a mechanical or

3 ELI TOMAC
7TH (4-11) 450MX
Eli Tomac made his highly anticipated
return to Pro Motocross after recover-
ing from his Supercross thumb injury.
"Moto one was good," he said. "I had
a pretty good start, and although I
got passed early, I was able to make
those passes back. I got into fourth
place and had some good lines and a
good flow going, so I went into moto
two with a good mindset, but I was
buried off the start. I only made it
up to 11th and just kind of struggled
overall in that second moto. It is
something to build on. Yeah, I wanted
it to be better, but we'll try to build
on it and improve next weekend in
Indiana."
27 MALCOLM STEWART
4TH (6-5) 450MX
Malcolm Stewart earned the best ride
of his season with a fourth overall.
"Every year that I've come here in
the past, I've always had pretty good
results and the track fits me well. The
fans were awesome, it was a great
day for me, and we needed this. We
didn't get a podium, but for everything
that we've gone through, fourth place
is like a podium."
MYOWNRACE
Chase Sexton again
took the overall
450MX win with
come-from-behind
