First All-Women ISDE Club Team Announced

s 31 total riders will repre-
sent the United States at
the 98th FIM International Six
Days Enduro, which takes place
October 14-19 in Galicia, Spain,
history will be made in more
than one way.
American club Team Eric
Cleveland Memorial will be the
first club team fully comprised
of women riders to compete in
the ISDE, headlined by riders
Ava Silvestri (GasGas), Olivia
Pugh (KTM) andJocelyn Barnes
(Husqvarna). There have been
all-women World Cup Trophy
teams but never a Club team.
"ISDE serves as the pinnacle
of international competition
when it comes to enduro racing,
and each year the sport's his

tory books are rewritten," ISDE
Coordinator Michael Jolly said.
"Team Eric Cleveland Memorial
is primed to make their own
mark on the history of the event
as the first all-female club
team, and we cannot wait to
see them compete in Spain this
October!"

The U.S. will field its first-
ever all-female Club team
in the ISDE in Spain.
Shimoda Injured
H
onda HRC Team rider
Jo Shimoda suffered
a broken collarbone at the
Unadilla Motocross National
on August 10.
Heading into the Unadilla
race, Shimoda was fifth in
the 250MX Champion class
and just four points be-
hind his teammate Chance
Hymas. Shimoda finished
fourth in the first moto and
was battling for the win in
the second moto when he
went down late in the race.
It was a relatively slow crash
but still resulted in a broken
collarbone. When he will
race again is not yet known.
It was a tough day for
Honda's 250cc team, with
Hymas also crashing out.
Hymas was leading the first
moto when he had a hard
get-off that put him out of
the race. He returned for
moto two but eventually
pulled off, still feeling the ef
-
fects of the first-moto crash.
His injuries have yet to be
disclosed, but he's been
on the mend lately with an
ankle injury.
Officially, Shimoda is cur-
rently fourth in the champi-
onship with 289 points, and
Hymas slips to fifth with
275.
