He managed that and then some. While he lost a small bit of ground on Jared Mees, who inherited the inside track to the title following Dallas Dan- iels' injury, it was only a small bit of ground thanks to a career-best TT performance on Robinson's part. He said, "Salvaged the best I could have today in all reality. I said I was a fifth- to ninth-place guy coming into it and ended up fifth. That's a good day. That's the best we've ever done at a TT, so that's pretty cool. I don't know what else to say. We'll go to Rapid City where we should be able to contend for the win.
