Zaccone stayed close but was unable to mount a serious challenge. Spinelli secured third place just ahead of Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini MotoE) in fourth and former champion Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar Team) in fifth. Garzo showed his race-one win was no fluke by taking gold in a delayed and rain-soaked race two, outpacing Spinelli by 3.4 seconds. The battle for the final podium spot came down to a duel be - tween Gutierrez and Torres, with the veteran Torres edging out the rookie to achieve back-to-back po- dium finishes for the first time this season. Zaccone finished fifth. In the championship, Garzo is now on top with 179 points from MOTOE Hector Garzo (Dynavolt Intact GP MotoE) claimed victory in a red- flagged MotoE race one in Germa- ny, moving to the top of the World Championship standings with his second 25-point haul in three races. Garzo successfully held off polesitter Alessandro Zaccone (Tech3 E-Racing), who, along with his teammate, Nicholas Spinelli, completed the podium. The race was initially halted on lap one due to an incident involv - ing Oscar Gutierrez (Axxis-MSI) and Eric Granado (LCR E-Team), resulting in Gutierrez receiving a double long-lap penalty for the restart. Gutierrez's troubles continued when he jumped the start in the five-lap dash, incurring two additional long-lap penalties. While attempting to serve the first of these penalties, he crashed out of the race. Granado was taken ROUND 9 / JULY 5-7, 2024 SACHSENRING / SAXONY, GERMANY ROAD RACE I FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P94 Hector Garzo took two wins and the title lead in MotoE.
