BY RENNIE SCAYSBROOK PHOTOGRAPHY BY GOLD & GOOSE T he 2024 German MotoGP at Sachsenring could prove to be the turning point in the championship after Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) threw away a possible 30-point championship lead ahead of the three-week sum - mer break. Martin was pretty much un- touchable all weekend, doing what Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) had done to him the previ - ous week at Assen, but lost the front of the Ducati with just two laps to go. The win gave Bagnaia a 10-point lead and soaring confi - dence after his fourth straight win. In Moto2, Fermin Aldeguer (MB Conveyors SpeedUp) finally kept it together for his first win since Jerez and David Alonso (CFMoto Gaviota Aspar Team) continued his demolition job on the Moto3 field. In MotoE, Hector Garzo (Dyna - volt Intact GP MotoE) came away from Germany a double winner.
