YEARS AGO JULY , Mick Doohan was pictured on the cover for winning the Dutch GP, it was his fourth consecutive victory... JeĊ½ Stanton announced from the podium at his home National race at RedBud that he'd be retiring at the end of the MX season. The news came as a surprise to his Honda team and his fans after he finished third to winner Mike Kiedrowski and Mike LaRocco... Larry Pregram won the Williams Grove Half-Mile in Pennsylvania... We interviewed Wayne Rainey... Jordi Torres won the U.S. round of the World Trials Championship in Norden, California... Kevin Windham was the big winner at Mammoth. Rodney Smith won the Wisp GNCC and was pictured on the cover 20 years ago... Ricky Carmichael and Kevin Windham were the 250cc and 125cc-class winners at RedBud 20 years ago...
