confidence in

for a 16-second penalty, which
dropped him six places to 10th.

have exceeded track limits
at the final chi-
cane, desperate

atone for his
earlier error.
Behind, Acosta
lost touch with
the podium
fight with five
laps to go. And
the dangers of
riding in clear
air and cooler
temperatures
soon made
themselves

squeaked into the
top 10 on Sunday.
