AMA Hall of Famer Randy Goss, aka
"Mr. Consistency," wore the AMA
Winston Pro Championship number-one
plate well in 1984 (as he did defending
his title in 1981). The Michigan native
was in the title hunt that year until
breaking his leg at the San Jose Mile.
