ROUND 5 / JUNE 30, 2024 THE WICK 338 / SOUTHWICK, MASSACHUSETTS MOTOCROSS I AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP / MONSTER ENERGY SMX WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P62 7 AARON PLESSINGER 6TH (12-4) 450MX Aaron Plessinger had an up-and- down day. "I qualified fourth and was good in practice, then I got a good start in the first moto," Plessinger said. "But I stalled the bike coming down a hill and laid it down. I picked it back up, got some dirt in my goggles, and had to stop for new ones, so I finished up 12th. The second moto, I rebounded and rode a really, really good race for fourth. I almost caught the boys on the podium, and I can't ask for much more from that one!" 47 LEVI KITCHEN 6TH (4-7) 250MX Levi Kitchen started up front in both races but finished outside the top five overall. "In the first moto, it started off pretty slow for me, but I quickly found my pace and ended up fourth," he said. "In moto two, I got a good jump out of the gate, but it was red-flagged immediately. After the restart, I got the holeshot again, but quickly lost the tow up front. I pretty much had third place overall in the bag until a lapped rider took me out with about 10 minutes to go." MYOWNRACE Sexton had a late-race charge in moto two and came away with the win for second overall.
