ROUND 8 / JUNE 28-30, 2024 TT CIRCUIT ASSEN / THE NETHERLANDS MOTOGP I FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P90 least made a fist of it. Again, Bagnaia was imperi- ous off the line and led into the race's first turn ahead of Maver- ick Vinales (Aprilia Racing), Mar- tin and the Marquez brothers, with Marc leading Alex after a neat first lap move at De Strub - ben. Martin was soon on the move as he passed Vinales for second at turn eight. The fast - est laps on the third and fourth laps for the Spaniard hinted at a possible victory challenge. I was trying hard in sector one to recover the time I was losing in other parts of the track. And in turn three, I leaned just a little bit too much and lost the front. I am a rider who is always going to try for more, and sometimes, this means we fall. That ended our race." 10 LUCA MARINI DNF/17TH MOTOGP For Repsol Honda's Luca Marini, Sunday's GP didn't go much better than his teammate, Mir. "This week- end was full of bad luck for us," Marini said. "In today's race, I had the pace to fight with Zarco. Augusto Fernan- dez made contact with me early in the race, and I went into the gravel, losing a lot of time. I really think I had the potential to finish in the points. It's MYOWNRACE
