Fong won't forget in a hurry.
Riding for the privateer Wrench Motor

cycles Yamaha team headed by long-time
MotoAmerica veteran David Anthony, Fong
was superb at a track he's known to be
fast at, but even he may have doubted how
dominant he would eventually be.
The only session Fong didn't lead was
the Sunday morning warmup in which the
Wrench Motorcycles outfit tried a new
setup on the R1 that didn't work, the team
reverting to Saturday's setting that would
see Fong ultimately clear off to a resound

ing 3.8-second win over Warhorse HSBK
Racing Ducati's Josh Herrin and Attack
Performance/Progressive/Yamaha Rac

ing's Cameron Petersen.
Bobby Fong (50) was
untouchable in Brainerd,
besting Josh Herrin (2)
and the rest of the field
in both races.
