"It was a technical track and
[I] just let the guys come to me
and made passes," Deegan said
of the first moto. "I saw Ty with
two laps to go and thought, 'I've
got to give it everything I got.'
We definitely took it down to the
wire. In the second moto, I was
fourth and then went down, but
at least I know I can make my
way up, because I did it once [in
moto one]. Literally two turns
to go, I caught my way back
up, and me and Ty pretty much
went over the finish line togeth

er. He won, and I got second."
"It's
been a rough three to four
years," said Masterpool of his
bobbled and nearly fell, Master-
pool rode around him and into
the lead.
However,
on the move was
first-moto winner Deegan, who
went down on the first lap and
was in 18th at one point. Could
he come back for the win again?
Deegan was in third place when
he saw the white flag and got
around Hymas, but had to pass
Masterpool for the overall win.
Deegan dropped the hammer
those last two laps, making up
10 seconds, and came within
0.387 of a second behind Mas

Race
two was filled with
excitement, and it started with
Muc-Off/FXR/Club MX's Mark
Fineis (Yamaha) taking the
holeshot and leading for two
full laps. The 18-year-old rookie
from Indiana then put up a fight
when Vialle, a two-time World
Champion, and Masterpool
came calling. Surprisingly, Fineis
got the lead back for a lap when
Masterpool tipped over. Unfor-
tunately for Fineis, he soon fell
as
well and damaged his bike's
radiator, which forced him out of
the race on lap seven.
Hymas took the lead, but
Masterpool was right on him
for several laps. When Hymas
Haiden Deegan came through
the 250MX pack in both motos,
winning the first one, but missed
out on the win by just 0.387
of a second in the other.
