ROUND 4 / JUNE 14-16, 2024 BRAINERD INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY ROAD RACE I MOTOAMERICA/FIM NORTH AMERICAN ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIP P88 could have in race two. "I was a little nervous after crashing in the Stock race ear - lier," Gillim said. "I didn't want to repeat that. But I was pushing as much as I felt comfortable. I knew if I could get into the corners pretty good and get out of them pretty good, it would be hard to pass. Everybody stepped it up from yesterday. If you could look at this morning, I was third, and I wasn't happy about it. I didn't go any faster, but every - body else did. It's an awesome weekend after Road America. Road America was a rough one. The whole start of the season has been really, really rough. Wearing the number-one plate, I thought would be a little bit easier going into the season than what it has been." for his race-one fallback. Rispoli bounced back to take third. The race was one of attrition, with the two men at the top of the points table also suffering miserable races and finishing last and second-to-last (seventh and eighth). Wyman was the first to have an issue, as his bike faltered at the start, and he was basically forced to cruise around for the duration to get some championship points. He earned eight points. S&S/Indian Motorcycles' Troy Herfoss was looking like he would bring home a boat - load of points in comparison to his championship rival, but he crashed out of second place, re - mounted and finished seventh. As such, Wyman didn't lose anywhere near the points he ey by 1.3 seconds and Landers charged through for a career-first Baggers podium in second from Herfoss, 1.8 seconds in arrears. Race one saw Gillim operating on a different level to the rest, with a 4.3-second win. Landers proved his Challenge podium was no fluke by mugging Her - foss on the last corner to take second place, Wyman coming home fourth and losing a couple of valuable points in the title race to Herfoss. However, Herfoss' teammate O'Hara had the worst of the last laps, going from second to fifth at the flag. Rispoli crashed out early in the race. Race two again had Gil - lim clearing off out front, the Kentuckian coming home 6.5 seconds ahead of O'Hara, who was on a mission to make up Jason Uribe (360) pushed through for a first Stock 1000 win at Brainerd in race two.
