"Chase had some good lines, and it was a bummer to see him go down—that was his race for sure," Sexton said. "I didn't feel as good, and my shoulder was fatiguing a bit more today. We were struggling a bit there, another three seconds back in third. Sexton had the quick - est lap time in both motos, but it wasn't enough to get the win. However, the KTM rider grabbed second overall to keep pace with points leader Hunter. "I felt like my speed was pret - ty good in the second moto," Sexton said. "From the first moto to the second, I felt like a different person. LAST-MINUTE CHANGES Chase Sexton made some frantic last-minute changes to his motorcy- cle at the starting gate of the second moto. "We did a big change after the first moto with the bike," Sexton said. "I did the sight lap, and I'm like, 'I've got to get back quickly to make a change. This ain't going to work for 30 minutes,' so we just adjusted the ride height of the bike [raised the fork tubes] and I'm glad we did it. I was actually putting gas in my bike by myself; Kyle [Defoe, his mechan- ic] was doing the forks. I was spilling gas everywhere, on my hands, on my seat. I probably shouldn't touch bikes."
