of Honda UK's John McGuinness with KTS Racing Honda's Jamie Coward two-tenths of a second behind. The top 10 was com- pleted by INCompetition Aprilia's Mike Browne, Michael Rutter (Bathams Ales BMW) and Brian McCormack (Roadhouse Macau by FHO BMW). Supersport TT Michael Dunlop took another step towards becoming the all- time TT win record holder with a resounding victory in the first Su - persport TT on Saturday, June 1. Dunlop headed home Ducati's Davey Todd by 8.5 seconds with early race leader Dean Harrison (Honda Racing) taking third. It was Dunlop's 40th TT podium which also equaled the figure held by Joey Dunlop. Dunlop, Todd and Harrison were all trading places at the front of the race but following the race's only pit stop on lap two, Dunlop began to slowly assert his authority. Todd took one second out of Dunlop's lead from Glen Helen to Ballaugh and another four-tenths to Ramsey, which meant the gap stood at 4.1 seconds as they made the Mountain climb for the penultimate time. It was down to 3.9 seconds at the Bungalow but starting the fourth and final lap, Dunlop responded and stretched his advantage to five seconds. Dunlop wasn't to be out - done and continually extended his lead throughout the final 37.73-miles to take the victory by 8.5 seconds with Todd taking his best TT result in second and also setting the fastest ever lap by a Ducati around the Mountain Course at 128.785 mph. Harrison claimed a 27th TT po - dium in third with James Hillier (Kawasaki) taking a comfortable fourth place from James Hind (Suzuki) in his being his best TT result. Yamaha's Josh Brookes overhauled Paul Jordan (Honda) on the final run down the Moun - tain for sixth. The top 10 was completed by Mike Browne (Ya- maha), Peter Hickman (Triumph) and Michael Evans (Triumph). Sidecar TT Ryan and Callum Crowe claimed their first win at the Isle of Man TT Races with victory in the first Sidecar TT of 2024, the Manx brothers coming home 26.8 seconds ahead of Pete Founds and Jevan Walmsley with Alan Founds and Rhys Gib- bons taking third. The Crowes set the fastest lap of the race on their Kelproperties Honda at 119.800 mph to be the first Manx Sidecar winners since 2014 and emulate the feat of their five-time winner father, Nick Crowe.
