Aron Canet (Fantic Racing) and local favorite Celestino Vietti (Red Bull KTM Ajo) followed in sixth and seventh, respectively. Izan Guevara (CFMoto Inde Aspar Team) took eighth, while Somkiat Chantra (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) and Marcos Ramirez (On - lyFans American Racing Team) rounded out the top 10. The result sees Roberts just seven points off Garcia, 122-115, with Ogura third on 99. Moto3 David Alonso of the CFMoto Valresa Aspar Team remains the standout rider in Moto3, claim - ing his fifth win of the season at Mugello. The Colombian rider led for most of the shortened 11-lap Lopez ran wide at San Donato, allowing Gonzalez and Aron Canet to take the lead. However, Roberts quickly fought back, reclaiming the front with three laps remaining. Entering the final lap in the lead, Roberts faced immense pressure from Gonzalez, who attacked at San Donato. Roberts responded immediately, diving inside at Luco to regain the lead. Under intense pressure, Roberts held on to win by just 0.067 of a second. Gonza - lez's quest for his first Moto2 win continues, and Lopez secured his third podium of the season. Sergio Garcia (MT Helmets – MSI) finished fourth, his lead in the championship now reduced to seven points. His teammate Ogura finished fifth, narrowly Roberts shot off at the start, leading early on the opening lap. He had competition from Lopez and Darryn Binder (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP), with Ai Ogura (MT Helmets – MSI) an - other fast starter, up to seventh from 12th on the grid. Lopez trailed Roberts until lap four, making his move at San Do- nato and finally securing the lead at Poggio Secco. However, Lo- pez's teammate Fermin Aldeguer crashed out following contact with Jeremy Alcoba (Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team). With Lopez leading, Gonzalez passed Roberts for second. Further back, Binder's race ended early, as he crashed at Arrabbiata 1. It boiled down to a six-rider battle for the lead. Roberts and Pole Espargaro (44) made a welcome wildcard ride and finished in 14th on Saturday and 17th on Sunday.
