P
ecco Bagnaia said his win
in the Sunday Grand Prix in
Barcelona-Catalunya was
one of his finest ever victories. He
should say that, because the World
Champion was at his brilliant best.
Bagnaia hunted down chief rival
Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Duca
-
ti), passed him on lap 19 of 24, and
rode off into the distance to record
an emphatic 1.7-second victory.
The only problem was yet anoth-
er crash in the Sprint race, this one
an inexplicable crash at turn five—
the same place he passed Martin
on Sunday—on the final lap while
leading, no less.
