He led early on before handing
the lead to Jett. Hunter served
as a bit of a buffer between
Jett and the charging Sexton,
but the number-four KTM
eventually made the pass. The
96-machine dropped off the
pace near the end, knowing the
2-3 scores would still earn him
an overall podium.

Joey Savatgy returned to the 250MX
class with a top-10 overall. "Top five
was the goal coming into this, so
I'm a little bummed with the overall
result," he said. "The speed was
good in qualifying, and considering
I haven't had a gate drop in a while,
fifth in the first moto was equivalent
to par for me. I would have liked a
better start and pace in the second
moto, but we just need to stick to our
program and we'll be okay."
