In the Supertwins, Rutter was an early retirement at Crosby, and it was Barry Furber (114.958 mph) who was quickest on the opening lap from Mike Browne (114.910 mph) and Stefano Bonetti (114.372 mph). How- ever, Hickman soon went into the number-one spot with a lap of 118.011 mph after switching from his Supersport machine. Todd also managed to get out on his Dafabet Kawasaki lapping at 116.063 mph. Later in the afternoon, the main protagonists switched to the Su - perstock machinery and quickest on the opening lap was Hickman at 129.032 mph, which put him 1.322 seconds ahead of Dunlop (MD Racing Honda) who lapped at 128.870 mph. They were fol - lowed by WTF Racing's Hillier (127.535 mph), Dominic Herbert- son on the Burrows Engineering/ RK Racing BMW (127.503 mph), Phil Crowe (127.032 mph) and Coward (126.510 mph). Next up was the Superbike class and Dunlop moved to the top at 129.590 mph—setting the fastest lap of the opening ses- sion. Hickman slotted into third at 128.271 mph with both Mc- Guinness (127.646) and Harrison (125.909) improving, as did Todd at 129.575 mph, his lap just 0.114 of a second adrift of Dunlop after 37 and 3/4 miles of riding. In the Sidecar class, it was lo - cal stars Ryan and Callum Crowe who were quickest at 116.699 mph. Tuesday's qualifying session was rained out and no riding was completed. The program will re - start on Wednesday, May 29. The first race of the program, the first Supersport event, is scheduled for Saturday, June 1. CN Davy Todd made the ideal Ducati debut with the fastest Supersport time. WIND IN THE P50 Donner Hard Enduro Postponed T he Donner Hard Enduro, which is a round of the U.S. Hard Enduro Series, has been postponed. Originally scheduled to be held on June 15-16, the race will now take place on August 10-11. The Donner Ski Ranch, where the rac - ing is staged, is still under three to six feet of snow and needs at least another month of solid melting before crews can start building the racecourse.
